We came here for lunch on a Friday. We were seated right away I ordered a lemon drop and was really good! For lunch I ordered the house salad and the Crab Sandwich. The bread was soft and flavorful and the crab was so good! Another ordered the whole crab... it takes patience to get the meat out but oh so worth it! ... and the garlic butter made it that much better. The third person ordered the crab cakes and crab chowder....very tasty! Service was fantastic! The ambiance of being on Pier 39 completed the meal!!!

Used to go here a lot when my son was little. He is now grown and living on his own. I have since moved away from the Bay Area and was looking for a restaurant to meet up with him and his new girlfriend. He suggested we meet up at the "Place we used to go at Pier 39". Made reservations for dinner from the YELP app. Easy Peasy. My son and I had the Cioppino and his girlfriend had the seafood fettuccine. It was excellent. The two of them split the Creme Brûlée cheesecake (I am watching my sugar intake so I skipped it). But they finished every last bite, so I assumed it was good. Nice to know that this place has withstood the test of time and is still a great place to eat.

Absolutely Loved It! What a Sunset! WOW! This place is a gem. Just touching in so now, I had a long day and have got too much going on at the moment but this beer was dinner after work before watching the sunset. I sat at the bar, which was just fine as a solo traveler. You do have a nice view of the Golden Gate Bridge from outside the van. I got a half crab, glass of wine and fries for me so that I could get the cucumber vodka martini -- all were outstanding!! Yes, it might be a little more expensive because of where they are located, but honestly an amazing way to top off the evening at wonderful restaurant!!

If you ever visit Pier 39, I highly reccomend eating at the Crab House. We had made reservations (highly recommend so you don't have to wait for hours ) We were seated right away. As we walked to our table , we could smell the aroma of seafood & the sizzling sounds of the food on iron skillets. Located at Pier 39, the restaurant is situated with the perfect view overlooking the pier . Our waitress Elvira was exceptional . She greeted us with a smile and constantly checked on us to make sure if we needed refills or anything else to order . I love going to restaurants where the first impression makes a great impact . I will never forget her friendliness and great service . We started off with the crab chowder in a bread bowl. Can we just say wow? I mean I have no words !! It was the best chowder I've ever had. The clam chowder was topped with fresh crab. This sourdough bread bowl was delicious . For our main course , we ordered the super combo iron skillet. This comes with 1 1/2 Dungeness crab, shrimp, and mussels. This came out right away sizzling on an iron skillet . This was absolutely amazinggggg! Everything was so fresh and the crab meat just melted in my mouth. The seafood was covered in this amazing secret garlic sauce & prepared so well. This combo was plenty for the 3 of us (2 adults , 1 child) . The next time I come out to San Francisco, I will be dining here again.
